Of these total movements, a large part is due to trips made by Chinese people to their hometowns to visit family and friends.

Some of the new measures include the establishment of a 15-day visa-free entry policy for 15 countries.new ports of entry have been added for the 144-hour visa-free transit policy, allowing 54 countries the opportunity to make short-term visits and exclusive business trips.

One of the most notable cases is that of Hainan Island, where the 144-hour visa exemption for foreign tourist groups has had a positive impact. The island has developed more than 20 tourism products and routes adapted for these visits. Thanks to these new measures, more than 80% of foreign tourists who visit Hainan do so without a visa.

Another interesting case to mention is that of Beijing, the capital of China and one of the most important tourist destinations in the regionAccording to official data, more than 1.65 million tourists visited the city in the first six months of this year, which represents an increase of 245.6% compared to the same period last year.
