The Government confirmed a new wage increase for employees of the National Public Administration (APN). Through Decree 837/2024 published this Thursday in the Official Gazette, with the signature of the president Javier Mileithe salary increase for state workers was finalized.
In this way, the libertarian administration approved the new wage agreementwhich establishes increases in permanent and non-permanent staff of the APN.
The measure also bears the signature of the Chief of Staff, Guillermo Francosand the Minister of Deregulation and State Transformation, Federico Sturzenegger.
Salaries: The Government confirmed new increases for public employees
According to Decree 837/2024 published today, the increase It takes effect from September 1 and will be staggered. “The Agreement Minutes of August 30, 2024 and its Annexes I to XLI of the Negotiating Commission of the General Collective Labor Agreement for the National Public Administration are hereby approved, by which salary increases are established for the remuneration of all permanent and non-permanent personnel, included in its scope of application, which as ANNEXES (IF-2024-95133963-APN-DNC#MT and IF-2024-97855653-APN-SSEPR#JGM) are an integral part of this measure” the rule states.
The increase stages will be staggered: the current monthly, regular and permanent salaries as of August 31st will be increased by 2%. Subsequently, from 1 October 2024, it will apply an additional increase of 1%on salaries in force as of September 30, 2024.
The agreement also includes adjustments in other salary areas, such as travel expenses, an additional amount for services in Antarctica, and reimbursement for childcare or nursery school expenses. In addition, the monthly amounts of the Attendance Incentive Award will be increased.
At the same time they are established Updates for National Resident Professionals who provide services in health facilities dependent on the Ministry of Health and the Garrahan Hospital. Residents in their first year of training, for example, will receive 894,775 pesos starting in September and 903,723 pesos in October.
The measure is found in Decree 837/2024 of the Official Gazette and is signed by President Javier MileiChief of Staff Guillermo Francos and Minister of Deregulation and State Transformation Federico Sturzenegger.
Likewise, in the third article of the decree, it was established that “the gross monthly, normal, usual, regular and permanent remuneration of the agents authorized to perform extraordinary services, with the exception of services required by third parties, should not exceed the amount of $633,488 as of September 1, 2024 and $639,823 as of October 1, 2024.”
The increase granted by the Government in its role as employer was accepted by UPCNthe majority union headed by Andres Rodriguez. On the other hand, the update was rejected by ATEled by Rodolfo Aguiar and who called to be “in permanent assembly”.
