September 20, 2024 – 08:26

At the 62nd general assembly of the Association of Argentine Journalistic Entities, ADEPA has honored me by choosing me to be part of the Board of Directors and member of the Executive Council. We ratified together the defense and promotion of freedom of the press.

During these days, from Wednesday 18th until today Friday 20th, it is being celebrated in the city of Posadas in the province of Misiones, The 62nd General Assembly of the Association of Argentine Journalistic Entities. ADEPA, as we all know it, is the most representative institution of Argentine journalism, bringing together journalistic companies, publishers of newspapers, periodicals, magazines and websites. Its founding principle is, the defense and promotion of freedom of the press, fundamental pillars of any democratic and republican system.

In this sense, and Taking into account the history, track record and quality of Ámbito Financiero, we at Grupo Indalo have proposed some time ago that, as such, Ámbito be part of ADEPA. With its local and regional importance, being a pioneer in the analysis of economic and financial news, and with the team of professionals that compose it, Scope could not and should not be outside of ADEPA. The current state of Ámbito keeps alive the principles with which Julio Ramos founded it in 1976. As our slogan says, “The value of information” is a seal of quality for the journalism that we proudly carry out every day.

It is a great honor, and a greater responsibility, to announce that, gathered in this 62nd assembly, the representatives of the most important and prominent media in our country I have been chosen to be a representative of the Area, to be part not only of the Board of Directors, but also of the Executive Council of ADEPA.

With this appointment, We redouble our commitment to the truth and to the defense of the democratic systemratifying the belief in the free circulation of information and respectful debate, the integrity of journalism and the strengthening of the values that support an informed and active citizenry.

I would like to express my gratitude primarily to the authorities and officials of ADEPA, especially its president Martín Echevers, and through him to the members of the Board of Directors and Executive Council. I would like to extend my gratitude and salute the media and journalists of the Argentine Republic, who have the enormous task and responsibility of analyzing the news, keeping us informed, and bringing the truth to the rest of the citizens in times where misinformation is a serious scourge. And I cannot fail to thank the entire Ámbito Financiero team, because my presence in this organization is nothing more than a reflection of their enormous commitment, work and dedication.
