On October 1, 2024, Congress approved the Mercosur Electronic Commerce Agreement, signed in Montevideo on April 29, 2021. This implies some new rules for e-commerce between the bloc’s partners.

Through Law 27768 approved by Congress, it sanctions the Agreement on Mercosur Electronic Commercesigned in Montevideo, Uruguay, on April 29, 2021.

The official document approves a regional agreement on electronic commerce. In simple terms, this means that Argentina joins a pact with other countries in the region (Mercosur) to establish clear and common rules on how products and services will be bought and sold online.
