On January 20, the Investigative Committee published footage of the detention of Tiktoker Alexei Shchetinin in the Krasnodar Territory, suspected of murder, theft and assault on police officers.
The 44-year-old man was detained the day before. Earlier, the suspect was put on the federal wanted list. According to investigators, Shchetinin has been committing illegal acts since December 2020.
Law enforcement officers have established that the blogger has been illegally entering shops and apartments in different settlements of the region for several years and committing thefts.
Also, the man is suspected of murdering a resident of the village of Akhtanizovskaya. According to preliminary data, the crime occurred in December 2020. The alleged intruder entered the house of a local resident and shot him six times, after which he fled with jewelry.
In October last year, the blogger left his house and disappeared, all this time the law enforcement officers were looking for him. Shchetinin’s wife expressed confidence that her husband could not be involved in the crimes, moreover, according to her, the neighbors speak of him only as a good person.
