The situation set off alarms in Peronism, which came out to set the tone for the ruling party on a thorny issue for both the Nation and its allies and for the opposition.

Asked about the issue during his presentation, Francos assured: “We understand the demand for the presence of a female judge in the Court. It will surely be an issue that the President will consider in case these documents do not advance.”

Appointments by DNU?

Previously, the Chief of Staff had admitted that the Casa Rosada was studying appointing judges from the DNU. “These are all the alternatives that we have under analysis, but we have not yet made a decision in this regard,” Francos acknowledged in an interview with Radio Miter. “We made a proposal that has not yet been discussed by the Senate. “We are facing a Court that will have fewer members in a short time, and there is a concern on the part of the Government that it be integrated,” said.

However, he clarified: “When you are in a minority everything costs much more. I wish it could work. It’s a discussion; I imagine the debates on these documents, the negotiations. We will now have more legislators to have a stronger position and a more fluid decision.”
