The Government of Javier Milei formalized the replacement of Florencia Misrahi by Juan Pazo in the Customs Collection and Control Agency (exAFIP) through Decree 1078/2024, published in the Official Gazette. The document, signed by President Javier Milei and Minister Luis Caputo, details the reasons for the decision and marks a new direction in management.
According to Decree 1078/2024, Florence Misrahi was removed from her position for having “apart from one of the central axes of this government, which is the simplification of the tax regime”. The document also clarifies that any head of the organization can be dismissed in case of “substantial non-compliance with the Annual Management Plan”, a reason that, according to the Government, was fulfilled in the case of Mirashi.
In replacement, he was appointed Juan Alberto Pazo to complete the legal period of four years.
