The former AFIP began the process of updating the current monotax scales. Learn about the current categories.
The Customs Collection and Control Agency (ARCA) announced the beginning of the period of recategorization for the current scales of those who are part of the Simplified Regime for small taxpayersbetter known as the monotribute.
The process is carried out every six months and allows the category to be updated according to the income generated in the last year. Furthermore, the scales are adjusted based on the accumulated inflation offering greater clarity in classification. In this sense, it is important that taxpayers know the current scales to know which one they should categorize themselves into.

Current monotax categories in December 2024
- Category A: $6,450,000 annually.
- Category B: $9,450,000 annually.
- Category C: $13,250,000 annually.
- Category D: $16,450,000 annually.
- Category E: $19,350,000 annually.
- Category F: $24,250,000 annually.
- Category G: $29,000,000 annually.
- Category H: $44,000,000 annually.
- Category I: $49,250,000 annually.
- Category J: $56,400,000 annually.
- Category K: $68,000,000 annually.
ARCA: how to recategorize the monotax
Monotributistas who must recategorize this December must follow these steps:
- With your CUIT and tax code, access the Monotributo Portal.
- Select the option “Recategorization“by clicking the button”RECATEGORIZE ME“. This function is only available during January and July, the months enabled for monotributistas to update their category.
- Review the current categories in “Current Scales” and compare with your current one that the system will show you. This way, you make sure which one corresponds to you according to the established limits.
- Select “CONTINUE RECATEGORIZATION” and enter the amount billed in the last 12 months.
- The system will ask you if you will use a location to carry out your activity. If the answer is “NO“, click on “CONTINUE“. And in case it is “YEAH“, you must provide the data of the corresponding establishment.
- The system will calculate and display the category that corresponds to you based on the information you entered. If the data is not correct, use the “RETURN” button and you will have to correct it. If the information is correct, click “CONFIRM CATEGORY“.
