Argentine planter company invests ,000 million to grow production

According to the Talleres Metalúrgicos Crucianelli TMC project, it will be used for the installation of solar panels that will generate 60% of the energy consumed by the plant. In addition, it will incorporate a shot blasting machine with special technology for treating parts before being painted.

In the case of Metallo, another of the group’s companies that is dedicated to the realization of industrial processes and metal parts, for a paint booth that will double the current capacity. Finally, Crucianelli Fabril -specialized in foundry- will acquire a new complex machining center for parts with more value and quality, ready to be used by the client.

“Talleres Metalúrgicos Crucianelli is the undisputed leader in the national planter market and in the export of this type of machinery. Now we want to do the same internationally to be among the top five manufacturers worldwide and for that a lot of investment in technology is needed,” said the group’s CEO, Gustavo Crucianelli. “Thanks to these works, financed largely by BICE, we will be able to continue growing,” he added.

The truth is that the company has been making various movements in search of working capital. Recently, it launched on the capital market Negotiable Obligations (ON) for US$4 million, expandable up to US$7 million and according to the issuance prospectus, the money raised will be used for investments in machines, equipment and infrastructure works to fulfill its 2030 Strategic Plan. The objective of this plan is to position itself as one of the top 5 agricultural machinery manufacturing companies globally.

Within this business plan, at the beginning of the year the company bought 100% of the shareholding of Fertec, a leading national firm in the fertilization segment and that is why it now also offers self-propelled and towed fertilizers.; In parallel, it acquired a percentage of shareholding in DeepAgro, an agricultural-oriented artificial intelligence company.

Another key issue is that This year it also partnered with the Piccin group to start manufacturing planters in Brazilwhich would be the first step to become a multinational.

At the moment, Crucianelli employs 520 people and has a turnover of US$150 million a year, just in the planter factory. In addition, it has foundry, sheet metal processing and precision agriculture businesses. Exports equipment and parts to Uruguay, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Russia, South Africa and Angola. Its projection to 2030 is to bill between US$250 million and US$270 million.
