After being frozen for 10 months, the negative limit on the card was extended. The custom began to govern the past Wednesday December 18updating the minimum balance that was $480.


UP: minimum balance in January 2025
The portfolio in charge of Franco Mogetta reported that the negative balance of the SUBE card will have different limits, which will change depending on the means of transportation and the location where the transfer is made. In that sense, this is how the minimum balance amounts for January were:
- Groups from all locations who travel with a SUBE card, subways of the City of Buenos Aires and public river transport in the Delta of the province of Buenos Aires: up to -$1200.
- Train lines of the AMBA –Mitre, Sarmiento, Roca, San Martín, Belgrano Norte and Sur– and the Neuquén valley train: up to -$650.
- Urquiza train line: up to -480 pesos (it remains, although it was clarified that it will be updated when the technological replacement work on its turnstiles is completed).
UP: maximum balance in January 2025
The maximum amount of the SUBE card for January will be $9,900. However, through the SUBE app you can reach a top of $40,000multiple purchases through enabled electronic channels.
