Hard claim from the Córdoba countryside to the Nation

In the text, the signatures assure that “the agricultural sector has been enduring a state of inefficiency for more than 20 years, with unsustainable expenses and fiscal pressure incompatible with production,”

“Added to this is the climate and international market situation, which has revealed the tremendous damage caused by withholdings: a distorting and discriminatory tax that, due to its magnitude and persistence, is suffocating the sector“, states the writing.

“It is imperative that the national government review and take measures regarding the withholdings, since these have been long promised and so far have not been fulfilled,” claimed the rural entities of Córdoba.

In parallel, They considered that subjecting their review to other macroeconomic achievements “is not realizing that the agricultural sector is the engine that drives the country from within, towards a path of sustainable and healthy growth.”

Finally, the Córdoba Regional Agricultural Activities Liaison Commission demanded the immediate review of export rights among many other items, before it is too late and long-term agricultural policies that ignite the hope of those who work, invest and risk so much. every campaign in Argentina”.

Claim by Governor Martín Llaryora

At the end of October, the governor of Córdoba, Martin Llaryoraheld a meeting with the provincial Liaison Table, in which he demanded from the Government a reduction in withholdings and a new biofuels law.

After the meeting, Llaryora pointed out that “the lowering of withholdings will allow that money to remain in the hands of the producers, so that they can generate more investments with the transformation of raw materials, where biofuels play a central role in adding value to the primary production”.

We will continue working together to achieve these common objectives that will create more jobs for the people of Córdoba and development for our province,” said the president.

During the conversation, the governor said: “VSee what happens with Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil and Bolivia. Some time ago these countries were far below Argentina in terms of production. What was the miracle there? None. “It was that the money remained in the hands of the producers, and since they were not affected by the withholdings, they reinvested it.”
