Independent workers with up to three collaborators: how to register in ARCA and avoid problems

The Customs Collection and Control Agency created a system that centralizes information about self-employed workers who hire collaborators for their ventures.

The National Revenue Agency developed the Registry of Independent Entrepreneurs with Helpers, which is a system that concentrates data on self-employed workers that they employ helpers for their projects.

The recent system, approved by the Basic Law, enables independent entrepreneurs to register up to three assistants in their productive initiatives.

This mechanism does not establish an employment relationship of dependency, but rather formalizes the link between the person responsible for the project and his assistants. Registration assigns a unique REIA Code for each initiative, facilitating control and promoting transparency in contracting.
