The Radical Civic Union of the Province of Buenos Aires has recently sealed a strategic pact with the PRO Party, led by Mauricio Macri, in the province of Buenos Aires. This alliance seeks to refloat the coalition known as Cambiemos, thus providing the opposition for an instrument to face the government and the problems related to freedom in the upcoming medium term elections, which will be held in October in the Argentine Republic. We also hope that the Civic Coalition, the Federal Party and others be added to that agreement.

It is relevant to emphasize that, although Mauricio Macri shares certain ideological coincidences with the liberal principles of the Government, he has become aware that Javier Milei’s management is characterized by a violent and unplayed approach in relation to republican positions.

This new agreement and revitalization of together for the change could imply a significant turn in the political and electoral dynamics of the country, allowing the opposition to consolidate its strategy to a complex panorama and a government that has worrying characteristics of institutional and political violence that says it despises the caste and traditional politicians but reproduces all the worst of the old policy and puts into practice the most detestable of it.
The creation of this alliance not only reflects an attempt by the Radical Civic Union and the pro to join in the face of current challenges, but is also an indication of the search for alternatives to revitalize its influence on Argentine politics. Giving the opposition a clear and clear path with electoral and parliamentary power so that Argentines have a possible alternative. Unfortunately in all this there is a part of the radicalism that touches the ear and that is a sector that will end up playing for Kirchnerism. And of course that a divided radicalism is the best business that Milei’s ruling can do.
