Abortion is now completely illegal in nine US states, and legal battles are underway in several states to ban the medical procedure two weeks after the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down the right.
Thousands are expected to protest illegalization today at a demonstration in Washington, D.C. organized by the Women’s March as a form of pressure on the Joe Biden administration to take action to “support access to abortion and reproductive freedom.”
The President on Friday signed an executive order calling on the Department of Health to provide access to contraceptives, abortion pills, morning therapy pills and emergency care for miscarriages.
