When is Ukraine’s long-awaited offensive coming? The political scientist and military expert Christian Mölling interprets the current situation.
Mr. Mölling, we all saw the images from the drone shot down over the Kremlin. Soon after, a video showed Russian mercenary chief Yevgeny Prigozhin lashing out at the military leadership in Moscow. Is it possible that Vladimir Putin’s regime is slowly losing control?
No. All this is nothing that makes this regime falter. The ability of the population to organize an uprising would be dangerous for Putin. Or if the key players turn their backs on him. But the security policy elites in Moscow see no alternative to Putin that protects their interests. They’re not that far yet. Prigozhin has never attacked Putin himself.
