Aminata Touré, Schleswig-Holstein’s social affairs minister, receives the political award for her special commitment and success in the democratic leadership and shaping of the state.
Schleswig-Holstein’s social affairs minister Aminata Touré (Greens) was honored in Berlin today by the private Quadriga University and the magazine “Politik und Kommunikation” as “Rising Star of the Year”.
With the presentation of the so-called political award, they honor personalities who, in their opinion, lead the country with particular commitment and success in a democratic and responsible manner and significantly shape it. Around 400 guests from politics, business, media, culture and society have been invited to the evening event in the Tipi at the Chancellery.
Prime Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia Hendrik Wüst (CDU) was honored as “Politician of the Year”. FDP veteran Gerhart Baum receives an honorary award for his life’s work. According to the organizer, the decisions were made by a jury. The Politics Award has been presented since 2003.
