Never in history has a candidate performed as well as Donald Trump before the primaries and then been overtaken by someone else. Is the race already over?
Hans Noel: It’s true that a candidate with such numbers usually wins the primaries. Trump also has much of the party behind him and raises the most money. But there has also never been a leading candidate facing four indictments who has been president and is likely to run against the man he has already lost to. There are so many imponderables that it is completely unclear how this election campaign will develop.
