Christian Dürr has been at the head of the 92 FDP deputies for two years. If he has his way, it should stay that way.
Christian Dürr wants to remain chairman of the FDP parliamentary group in the second half of the election period. The 46-year-old announced this at the parliamentary group meeting in Berlin.
“Half of the legislative period is behind us, but there is still a great need for reform in Germany. I would be happy to continue taking on responsibility and to help modernize our country further,” said Dürr.
The Lower Saxon has been at the top of the 92 FDP deputies for two years. The regular election of the parliamentary group executive committee will take place on September 19th. Dürr represents the Delmenhorst-Wesermarsch-Oldenburg-Land constituency in the Bundestag.
