The Federal Intelligence Service employees are said to have drugged and raped their colleague at a summer party. After a report, an extensive investigation is now underway.
Investigations are underway against two employees of the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) on allegations of sexual offenses. This was announced by the Traunstein public prosecutor’s office, Rosenheim branch.
“Spiegel” had previously reported on the case. According to the media report, the two BND employees are said to have drugged a colleague with knockout drops and raped her at an internal summer party at the BND branch in Bad Aibling, Upper Bavaria. According to dpa information, the two men have been suspended from duty.
A spokesman for the public prosecutor’s office said the woman contacted the police in July, a few days after the celebration. He did not want to provide any further details “at this stage”. It is an extensive investigation.
According to a spokeswoman, the BND has filed a complaint itself. The Federal Intelligence Service “has the greatest interest in a quick and comprehensive clarification of the matter and fully supports the ongoing investigations,” it said in a statement. The spokeswoman did not provide any further information, citing the personal rights of those affected.
