Germany will support Ukraine with additional weapons and ammunition. Federal Defense Minister Boris Pistorius (SPD) announced a new aid package worth 400 million euros before the Ramstein conference on Tuesday. However, the cruise missiles desired by Ukraine are not included, as the minister said in an interview with the “Bild” newspaper.
“We supply additional ammunition: explosive ammunition, mortar ammunition, mine rockets”says the minister. “Ammunition is what Ukraine needs most in its defense against the brutal war of aggression.” In addition, Germany will help with protected vehicles and mine clearance systems.
“But we also have an eye on the approaching winter,” adds the minister. “We will send clothing, but also electricity and heat generators.”
