New York: Germany celebrates 50 years of the UN with Chancellor, cooked sausage and cabbage

The UN building in New York on Monday evening: The Federal Government is holding a reception to celebrate 50 years of membership in the United Nations on the sidelines of the General Assembly. We booked the Delegate’s Dining Room on the fourth floor, large terrace and view over the East River. Rain clouds still hang over the Manhattan Bridge. But later, no joke, just as the Chancellor gives a short speech, the sky opens and the evening sun reflects golden in the windows of the Brooklyn skyline.
