Donald Trump received less money from donors for his US election campaign in the last quarter of 2023 than his challengers. Around $19 million flowed into Trump’s campaign coffers in the fourth quarter, according to a financial report filed with the US Election Commission. His only remaining challenger in the race for the Republican presidential nomination, Nikki Haley, announced earlier this month that her campaign had raised $24 million in the final three months of 2023. US President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign said it received $97 million in donations during the same period, including money raised by Biden’s Democratic Party.
Trump faces several lawsuits. So far he has been able to capitalize on the allegations against him: by arguing that it was political persecution, he was able to strengthen his political base and fill his campaign coffers.
