The European Parliament will be re-elected on June 9th. The SPD is heading to the Chancellor’s old homeland to kick off the election campaign.
The SPD will start its nationwide campaign for the European elections in Hamburg in just over two weeks. The central rally with Chancellor Olaf Scholz, party leaders Saskia Esken and Lars Klingbeil, Secretary General Kevin Kühnert and Europe’s top candidate Katarina Barley is scheduled to take place on April 27th at the fish market, a spokesman for the Hamburg SPD told the German Press Agency.
Hamburg’s First Mayor Peter Tschentscher and Hamburg’s top candidate Laura Flick will also be there.
The European Parliament election will take place on June 9th. At the same time, the district assemblies will be re-elected in Hamburg.
