It’s about alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity: The International Criminal Court (ICC) has requested an arrest warrant against Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – and against three Hamas leaders
The International Criminal Court (ICC) has reportedly requested an arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Based on the evidence collected and examined, there is “sufficient reason to believe that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Joav Gallant bear criminal responsibility for war crimes and crimes against humanity,” the court in The Hague said on Monday. The war in the Gaza Strip was triggered by the major attack on Israel by the radical Islamic group Hamas on October 7th.
Karim Khan said Monday he believes Netanyahu, his defense minister Joav Galant and several leaders of the militant Islamist Hamas are responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip and Israel.

Editor’s note: A previous release from the agency said an arrest warrant had been issued. It is true that this was initially applied for. Please excuse the mistake
