The news from the Polish state press agency PAP was quite something: the government had decided to partially mobilize 200,000 reservists on July 1st. They would be sent to the front in Ukraine immediately, it said last Friday at 2 p.m. and then again at 2:20 p.m. The first news text was online and in the world for eight minutes before PAP denied it. The second time it didn’t take quite as long. PAP added in each case that the text had not been written in the editorial office.
