Malu Dreyer has multiple sclerosis
The Prime Minister joined the SPD in 1995 and is valued in her party. As interim party leader, she led the SPD in 2019 after the resignation of Andrea Nahles. Dreyer was succeeded by Saskia Esken and Norbert Walter-Borjans.
In the same year that she joined the party, the now 63-year-old was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS).
