If you walk through Buenos Aires these days, you notice the many beggars, the empty shops, the queues in front of soup kitchens. Has the social situation ever been so bad – in what was once the richest country in South America?
Argentina is not doing well. The first six months under President Javier Milei were very difficult. We are experiencing a major economic downturn. The poverty rate has risen to over 50 percent, and according to some calculations, to as much as 58 percent.
