At least Joe Biden is now leaving God out of the picture. A few days ago he said that only “almighty God” could throw him out of the race, but now at his press conference on Thursday evening he outlined a far more earthly scenario: His advisers would have to prove to him that he was heading for certain defeat. But then he declared defiantly: “Nobody says that. No poll says that.” Of course, he said, “other people can beat Trump too,” but it would be too difficult to “start from scratch” anyway.
Joe Biden seems out of touch these days. A president in a false world who clings to power like a kindergarten child clings to his favorite toy.
