The AfD is established in Saxony. This is also shown by the polls: according to one survey, 40 percent see it as a normal party.
40 percent of people in Saxony believe that the AfD is a normal democratic party like any other. This is evident from current figures from the RTL/ntv trend barometer. 55 percent of those surveyed say that this is a party that is more on the right-wing extremist fringe. 99 percent of Green Party supporters, 98 percent of Left Party supporters and 97 percent of SPD supporters agree with this.
13 percent reject the political system
51 percent of AfD supporters in Saxony vote for the party because they agree with the AfD’s political ideas. Another reason, for 25 percent of those surveyed, is that they are dissatisfied with the federal government’s policies. 13 percent reject the entire political system. And only two percent are dissatisfied with the state government’s policies.
If the AfD participates in the state government in Saxony, 48 percent fear that politics will get worse. 24 percent think it will get better and 19 percent expect no changes.
Two thirds reject AfD ban
Overall, 62 percent of eligible voters in Thuringia reject a ban on the AfD, while only 28 percent are in favor.
47 percent think that the CDU is good that it is ruling out cooperation with the AfD, and 47 percent also think that the party should rethink its stance. Supporters of the BSW in particular are undecided on this issue, with 40 percent saying that the CDU’s stance is good, and 54 percent saying that the position is wrong.
