Middle East: Israel’s army: Around 30 missiles fired from Lebanon

There are almost daily clashes between Israel and the Hezbollah militia. The Israeli military says it is again registering many missiles from the neighboring country.

According to Israeli military reports, numerous rockets have again been fired from Lebanon into northern Israel. The army itself reported that around 30 missiles were fired. There were initially no reports of injuries.

According to reports, the army attacked several launch pads of the pro-Iranian Hezbollah in southern Lebanon during the night.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for an attack on the neighboring country. An Israeli military base was attacked with Katyusha rockets, the militia said.

Since the beginning of the war in the Gaza Strip between Israel and the Islamist Hamas, which is allied with Hezbollah, eleven months ago, there have been almost daily military confrontations between the Israeli army and Hezbollah in the border region between the two countries. There have been deaths on both sides – most of them were members of Hezbollah. Hezbollah says it is acting in solidarity with Hamas.
