In the fight against Russia, Ukraine repeatedly targets its opponent’s energy supply. Now it hit an oil storage facility on the annexed Crimean peninsula.
A Ukrainian drone attack set fire to a large fuel depot on the Russian-annexed Crimean peninsula. The General Staff in Kyiv confirmed the nighttime attack.
Residents in the city of Feodosiya shared videos of the fire on social networks, and they also assumed that drones were the cause. The columns of smoke over the southern coast of Crimea could be seen from far away. Local Russian authorities confirmed the fire but did not comment on the drone strike.
There was an air alarm over the peninsula during the night. Explosions and anti-aircraft fire were reported in the port city of Sevastopol and at Russia’s Belbek and Saki air bases.
