On the “Polymarket” platform you can bet money on all sorts of absurdities. A stranger there had bet on Donald Trump’s victory. With overwhelming success.
This US election has produced some winners and losers. The old and new President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, emerges as the clear winner. Also successful, at least financially, was the result of the presidential election for an unknown on the “Polymarket” platform. He or she had bet there on Trump’s election victory – and has now won a double-digit million sum.
The US company Polymarket was launched in 2020 and is considered one of the world’s largest betting platforms. Unlike previous prediction markets, Polymarket uses blockchain technology for much of its operations. Users need to purchase USDC tokens, a type of cryptocurrency.
Bet on events in world history at Polymarket
You can bet on numerous events in world history, including bizarre and morbid scenarios. Polymarket offered its users the opportunity to place bets on the question of whether the then-missing submarine “Titan” could be found by June 23, i.e. within five days of its disappearance. According to the company, this resulted in $2.3 million in bets.

So now the US election. As Polymarket announced on the X platform, an unknown user bet a large sum on Donald Trump’s election victory. The possible profit: around 11 million dollars (10.3 million euros). The rest is history. “$11 million in pure profit. What a trade,” the company wrote on X.
And the betting continues happily. Predictions can already be made on the forecast platform. For example, if Trump wins, he will “end” the Ukraine war within 90 days. Or whether a nuclear weapon will detonate this year.
