AP: Trump wins in Alaska

The state of Alaska is located at the northwesternmost tip of the USA. Donald Trump prevails here. This only gets him a few votes – but the race is decided anyway.
Donald Trump also secured the state of Alaska with three voters in the US presidential election. The AP news agency reported this on the basis of voter surveys and initial vote counts the day after the election.
Alaska is considered a Republican bastion, even though a Democrat recently occupied the state’s only seat in the House of Representatives. The three voters in the sparsely populated state at the northwestern tip of the USA went to Donald Trump with a clear majority in 2020.
To become president, a candidate in the United States needs the votes of at least 270 voters. Trump comes with Alaska ready for 295 electoral votes.
