Russia attacks Ukraine with drone attacks every day. According to anti-aircraft defense, there were particularly many last night.
Russia has once again attacked Ukraine with drone attacks – a total of 145 in one night. This is a record in the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, which has been going on for more than two and a half years, said the anti-aircraft defense force in Kiev. 62 unmanned missiles were destroyed and 67 others disappeared from radar. Other drones have flown to the neighboring Republic of Moldova and Belarus. On October 18th, the air force command also reported an unusually strong nighttime drone attack – 135 flying objects in total.
This time, the Odessa area on the Black Sea was particularly affected. There, several apartments in houses, private properties, shops, cars and garages were damaged, the authorities said. There were also injuries.
Ukraine has been defending itself against a large-scale Russian invasion with Western help for more than two and a half years. Russia repeatedly attacks its neighboring country with air strikes – in addition to drones, also with rockets and cruise missiles.
Russia reports 70 Ukrainian drone attacks
As part of its defensive campaign, Ukraine is also shelling Russian territory. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that 70 Ukrainian drone attacks had been repelled, including 34 in the Moscow region in the morning hours alone. Authorities said a woman suffered burn injuries when debris from a downed drone fell on her home in the Ramenskoye district of the Moscow region, southeast of the Russian capital. This and another house went up in flames. The capital’s airports resumed operations after there were no take-offs and landings for hours in the morning.
