Donald Trump has announced huge “mass deportation” of migrants – and already began. Now the responsible authorities of Chicago are taking care of themselves.

Officials from the immigration authority ICE started around a week after President Donald Trump took office in the US metropolis Chicago with “targeted missions” against migrants without a residence permit. ICE said, ICE said. The aim is to “enforce the United States immigration laws and to ensure public security and national security by keeping potentially dangerous criminals from our communities”.

Authorities receive more powers against immigrants in the United States

The US broadcaster CNN wrote of a “lightning campaign” in which several federal authorities received additional powers to arrest immigrants without papers in the USA. The exact extent was initially unclear. However, the broadcaster reported that it was an operation lasting several days that would extend across the country.

Trump’s government had promoted the arrest and deportation of migrants without a residence permit in the past few days. So far, however, the actions have remained behind what the president and his people had announced as a never -ending deportation program.
