Russians penetrate Eastern Ukraine-Trump government relies on negotiations

The Ukraine War lasts almost three years. US President Trump wants to end him through negotiations-but that takes time. Meanwhile, the Russians continue to move forward.
In eastern Ukraine, Russian troops continue to attack and put the defenders under pressure. The Ukrainian general staff recorded 125 Russian attacks on Thursday in its evening report. The focus was once again at the city of Pokrowsk in the Donetsk area, where there were 51 battles. The mining city, which had around 60,000 inhabitants before the war, has been competitive for months.
However, the Russians have relied not to take the city directly, but to drive past it south. According to the cards of Ukrainian military observers, only the village of Udatschne is vacant. Behind it begins the Ukrainian administrative area Dnipropetrovsk, which Russian troops have not yet reached in the almost three years of their war of aggression.
The army -based Russian military blog Rybar reported that Russian troops had brought more parts of the city of Tschasiw Jar under their control. A complete loss of the city is denied by Ukrainian sources.
Russian and Ukrainian drones in the night sky
In the night of Friday, starting east in a Ukrainian region, the other air alarm was triggered because Russian combat drones were located in the sky. The Russian Ministry of Defense in Moscow, in turn, spoke of the fact that 17 Ukrainian drones had been intercepted via Russia before midnight.
On Thursday morning, a Russian drone in the North Ukrainian city of Sumy met a high -rise building, killed at least 9 people and injured 13. “Each of these Russian blows needs an answer in the world, terror must not remain unpunished,” said President Wolodymyr Selenskyj in a video address. At least 13 people were injured in the Russian fire at the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk.
Military aid from Sweden’s billion dollar aid for Ukraine
The NATO neum member Sweden presented its 18th and so far the largest military support package for Ukraine. According to the government, it has a value of 13.5 billion Swedish crowns (just under 1.2 billion euros). Among other things, this means a doubling of the 16 transport boats of the Stridsbåt 90 and 1500 tank defense missiles and 146 trucks. The package also includes investments to support the Ukrainian armaments industry.

Czech Republic wants to organize ammunition again
According to a purchase of artillery ammunition for Ukraine 2024 organized by the Czech Republic, the government in Prague advertises support for a new ammunition initiative in other EU countries. “It is a question of political will, and if many EU member states of our initiative are agreed again, we can achieve a lot for Ukraine,” Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky told the Editorial Network Germany (RND). “We are currently examining how we can finance the new ammunition initiative and will then see how much shot ammunition we can get for the money.” He did not want to commit to a specific amount of ammunition.
The Czech Republic fulfilled the declared target of 1.5 million shots of ammunition for Ukraine last year. About a third of them were 155 mm of the caliber. “This played an important role to produce parity on the battlefield in Ukraine,” said Lipavsky.
Atom inspectors in the Saporischschja nuclear power
According to IAEA, the international nuclear inspectors in the Russian nuclear power plant in Saporischschja in Ukraine hear battle noise in the area almost daily. There were several explosions near the nuclear power plant on Thursday, the International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA said in Vienna. However, no damage was reported to the work. Head of Office Rafael Grossi linked his report on the work of the inspectors with the announcement to visit Kiev again on Tuesday (February 4th).
IAEA observers are present in all active nuclear power plants in Ukraine and in the disused work of Chernobyl. They reported air alarm or drones near their facilities every day, said Grossi. The Saporischschja nuclear power plant, the largest nuclear system in Europe, is located directly on the Dnipro river; It also forms the front there. Russian and Ukrainian troops fight each other across the river with artillery and fight drones.
Trump government relies on negotiations
According to the US government, the war must be ended by President Donald Trump on the negotiating path. The war is unsustainable for all sides, said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, according to his ministry, on the program “The Megyn Kelly Show”. As with every negotiation, “both sides would have to give up”. That will take time, said Rubio. Trump had said in the election campaign that he could end the Russian attack war in 24 hours – but remained guilty.
“But at least we have a president who realizes that our goal is to end this conflict in a way that is permanent, because it is unsustainable for all sides,” said Rubio. He believes that even a growing number of Democrats in the United States “would now recognize that what we have financed is a stalemate, a protracted conflict,” said the US foreign minister. “And maybe worse than a stalemate, one in which Ukraine is gradually destroyed and more and more territory. This conflict must therefore be ended”.
