The frenzy of Friedrich Merz: a thoughts experiment

After the death of a 2-year-old boy in a traffic accident, Friedrich Merz coordinates the wrong ones-the Greens. A mind game of star-Kolumnist Florian Schroeder.

This day will go into history. It is a taboo break that Germany has never experienced. The death of a 2-year-old boy and a helper in an accident on the A3 near Aschaffenburg and caused the barrel to overflow.

In any case, the person who caused the accident on the A3 was a 29-year-old German who spoke German poorly and came from Lower Bavaria. He has been mentally ill for a long time. He had always noticed, especially through frenzy. He was briefly in psychiatry. But the authorities failed. Like most men who cannot cope with their aggressions, he lived on the road. He had therefore lost his driver’s license several times. He was even ready to give him voluntarily.

Opinion

Merkel’s sharp criticism could still hurt Friedrich Merz properly

Friedrich Merz says: “On average, eight people die on German roads every day. It is enough! It doesn’t go on like this.” He brings a five-point plan to the Bundestag as a motion for a resolution. He says this is implemented or not at all. If you agree, you don’t care.

  1. An immediate speed limit of 100 km/h on German highways, 70 km/h on country roads.
  2. Access to the driver’s license should be severely limited. If you don’t pass the exam, you cannot repeat.
  3. German highways are to be checked by the police around the clock. If you don’t have a driver’s license with you during a check, you will lose it forever
  4. Speed crossing from 10 km/h should be in custody until you can take part in an MPU. Do you fall through, even beyond – until you have passed or voluntarily submit your driver’s license
  5. Family deprivation: Whoever loses the driver’s license, whose entire family also loses it.

Critics point out Fritz Merz that these laws are neither enforceable nor feasible. Hundreds of thousands go on the streets on Germany’s streets. The “demos against right-wing driving”-an initiative for the fast lane, led by the CSU, FDP and AfD as well as the automakers connected to them, VW, BMW and Audi keep escalating.

“And then the hat cord burst”

Although the number of traffic fatalities has decreased by almost a quarter since 2010 and Germany’s streets have become safer as a whole, maybe as safe than ever. Nevertheless, every second talk show asks: “When will Germany finally be safe again?” In the country there was a feeling within a few days, if you drive onto a country road or motorway entrance, you will no longer come down alive.

Friedrich Merz: Payment card for new driving licensees

Merz says he wants to go “all in” and make it difficult for young people to make a car. “In 2022, almost 80 percent of all households had at least one car. Almost 50 million vehicles are on the road on German roads – and there are more and more. Merz also wants to introduce payment cards for new driver’s license with which you can borrow bicycles but no cars.

“It will soon be like in my childhood when the Nazis took over the power”

Other countries, according to the Union, would have much harder auto depletion rules. In the event of his election as Chancellor, Merz announces that they want to orientate himself to Paris from now on and to delete half of all parking spaces and to replace them with parks and bicycle paths. Merz wants to make Germany a bicycle nation based on the Netherlands. In Holland, they had acted like this because too many children died in road traffic. Now, to Aschaffenburg, this is also urgently offered in Germany. “There will be no further this way on German roads,” says Merz.

In addition, he is considering the taboo breach when applying for a resolution in the Bundestag: he wants to vote together with the Greens. Markus Söder becomes Merz´ Seehofer and threatens to burst the Union and found its own Bayern Party. Merz says in the “Daily Topics”: “I will not continue to see how the people in our country are rammed, run over and towed.”

Merz’s plans go too far to the green candidate for chancellor Habeck, he registers what he can do best. The measures go too far for him. The green youth refuses to coordinate with the Natter Merz. The spokeswoman for the Green Youth, Jette Nietzard says: “Even if we share Merz ‘attitude on the subject of mobility, we will never vote with him. One who takes the word’ towing ‘in our mouth is not a conversation partner for us.” This term is clearly occupied in times of #metoo, so there could be no two meanings and certainly no presumption of innocence.

After all, the Greens still vote with Merz, together with some SPD MPs. You can reach a narrow majority.

Since it was a resolution application, he has no consequence. The Union has broken instead and stumbles through the Bundestag election with almost 20 percent. The AfD wins massively and will be forbidden with a single announcement, bikes, bike paths and cyclists on the first day of their reign.
