A new Bundestag will be elected on February 23. In order for the choice to run in an orderly, hundreds of thousands of volunteers help.
Around 675,000 election workers will be deployed across Germany in the Bundestag election on February 23. This was announced by the federal election manager. Some major cities alone needed up to 10,000 election helpers for the federal election, it said.
In the case of the election, there will therefore be around 90,000 urn and postal voting districts. In every polling station and for every postal voting district, there is an election board that is made up of election leader, a deputy and three to seven assessors, as the federal election manager said.
The election board is responsible, among other things, for the organization and monitoring of the election and counts the votes after the polling stations were closed.
