Bundestag election 2025: These are the constituencies in Hamburg

Bundestag elections usually take place every four years, but this year’s election was preferred. On December 16, 2024, the Bundestag refused to trust Chancellor Olaf Scholz in a special meeting with a majority of 394 MPs. As a result, Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier ordered the dissolution of the German Bundestag on December 27, 2024 and decided to start new elections for February 23, 2025.

How many constituencies are there in Germany?
Germany is currently divided into 299 constituencies. These are structured in such a way that they enable a fair distribution of the votes. However, these limits can change every four years because they adapt to population development and municipal area changes.
To find out which constituency you can choose, visit the official website and enter your address. There you will receive information about your responsible constituency and polling station.
