“The loss of such a radiant and lively young life is an indescribable tragedy,” said World Association President Hassan Moustafa.

“She was a goalkeeper with great talent and an exemplary teammate, but Jemima was above all a bright, happy young woman of great friendliness. Her smile and commitment will leave an indelible memory in our hearts,” said her club Handball Plan-de -Cuques in an emotional message.
Kabeya, who played France at the Junior World Cup in 2022, was one of the best goalkeepers in the first French league this season with 78 parades so far and a quota of 35.6 percent and had just extended her contract by two years.
“Your tragic death puts the entire handball family in mourning. Our thoughts are with her parents in this painful ordeal,” said Nodjial MYARO, President of the French women’s handball league.
