Alice Weidel’s political climb to the AfD candidate for Chancellor was rapid and is still full of contradictions. Your advantage: the 46-year-old is extremely adaptable.
Alice Weidel is the AfD’s first candidate for chancellor. It speaks for the self -confidence of the party and candidate that they go to the Bundestag election campaign in this constellation and with this label. With an expected election result around 20 percent, the right party has good chances of becoming the second strongest force in the new Bundestag, even if it will continue to be banished to the opposition – so much is certain, despite the discussions about a crumbling fire wall.
In our every day you will find current news about the early new elections.
Weidel has made a quick climb in the party. Just a few months after the party was founded in spring 2013, she joined the AfD and will be the top candidate for the Bundestag election in 2017 in the duo with Alexander Gauland. Four years later she is again top candidate, this time in a network with Tino Chrupalla. For the Bundestag election 2025, she is elected sole candidate for chancellor.
