Some US politicians feel uncomfortable that US President Donald Trump and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin get on so well. According to Trump, this is not the problem.
US President Donald Trump rejected criticism of his approach to Russia and the widespread concerns with regard to Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed as exaggerated. “We should spend less time to worry about Putin and more time to worry about rapists from migrants, drug barons, murderers and people from psychiatric institutions that come to our country – so that we do not end like Europe!”, He wrote on Monday (local time) in his online service Truth Social.
Trump has had a U-turn in the Russian policy of the United States since he took office in January. This caused great concern in Europe and the opposition Democratic Party in the United States.
On Friday there was a scandal in the White House when visiting the Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj: Trump and his Vice President JD Vance accused Selenskyj in the Oval Office, lack of gratitude for US military aid and disrespect. Trump also threatened to end the US support if Selenskyj should not agree with a “deal” with Russia.
Criticism of Donald Trump about Vladimir Putin
The US Senator Chris Murphy from the Democratic Party said that the White House had become “an arm of the Kremlin”. Trump’s Republicans, on the other hand, are largely behind the right -wing populist. Leading politicians from the party suggested that Selenskyj resign to enable a peace agreement with Russia.
