For peace negotiations, France and Ukraine Russia have offered a one -month ceasefire. But the Putin regime categorically rejects the proposal.
Russia rejects a temporary ceasefire in Ukraine. The proposal of a one -month interruption of the attacks from the air and at sea, which was particularly subject to Kiev and Paris, was “absolutely unacceptable,” said the speaker of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Sacharova, to journalists on Thursday. “Fixed agreements for a final agreement are necessary,” she said.
Sacharova described Kiev’s suggestions as an attempt by a “death -consecrated regime (…) to prevent a collapse on the front at all costs”. Ukraine would use such a break “to strengthen its military skills,” added Sacharova.
Russia on the offensive
On Tuesday, the Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj had proposed a “ceasefire” in the air and at sea. On Sunday, France President Emmanuel Macron told the French newspaper “Le Figaro” that Paris and London would propose a one -month ceasefire for attacks “in the air, at sea and on energy infrastructure”.
