Protest on the Big Ben: Man with a Palestine junction on tower
Large deployment on the British parliament: A man climbs on the well -known tower with a Big Ben bell with a Palestinian flag. Rescue workers try to get it down.
In London, a man triggered a large rescue operation because he climbed to the clock tower on the British parliament with a Palestinian flag. The police moved out to Elizabeth Tower with the well -known Big Ben bell on Saturday morning.
“Officials are on site and work on the end of the incident,” said the Metropolitan Police. The fire brigade and the emergency services are also in use.
A picture showed how the man was barefoot on a lead on the tower facade. Emergency forces on a turntable ladder tried to speak to him, as the British news agency report reported.
The location in downtown London was cordoned off. The police initially did not provide any information about the man’s motif. A reporter from the television station Sky News said it was unclear how he got there at all. The parliament is well secured.
