The Federal Intelligence Service has apparently been responsible for a laboratory experiment for the outbreak of coronapandemic for years. The Chancellery had kept the suspicion secret.
It is about maximum confidentiality, a secret service with a code name and risky experiments: According to media reports, the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) tends to assess that an accident in a Chinese organic laboratory may have triggered global corona apandemy.
The “Süddeutsche Zeitung” and the “Zeit” on Wednesday reported this assessment in 2020. In addition to an analysis of public data, the basis is primarily material that was procured as part of a intelligence service with the code name “Saaremaa”. Among other things, it is scientific data from Chinese research institutions, including the Wuhan Institute for Virology.
In addition to references to risky so-called gain-of-function experiments of the artificial change of viruses found in nature, the material should therefore also demonstrate numerous violations of laboratory security.
Where does the Coronavirus come from? So far there have also been secrets
According to a report by the “Neue Zürcher Zeitung”, there has been an exchange of several specialized scientists at the BND in recent weeks, in which the Chancellery was also involved. According to extensive investigations, there were numerous indications of laboratory origin.
Coronapandemic was so depressing

In Germany, Coronapandemia officially breaks out on January 27, 2020. In Starnberg in Bavaria, the first patient is positively tested for the new virus. The uncertainty is still great: How should you deal with Covid-19? A first measure that many experts erroneously consider to be hardly effective at this point is to wear a medical protective mask – later it is standard

However, the “NZZ” also writes that not all researchers involved are equally convinced that the virus clearly comes out of the laboratory. However, some see a growing probability that the virus from the Wuhan Institute of Virology would come. The BND did not want to comment on the reports on request.
The question of the origin of the pandemic is highly political
Since the outbreak of pandemic at the end of 2019 in the Chinese city of Wuhan, there have been discussions about whether the virus comes from a laboratory or was transferred to humans on a market. The Chinese government vehemently contests the laboratory version. The background to the debate is that in China in laboratories on so-called SARS-like coronaviruses.
In January the US secret service CIA announced that he suspected that the coronavirus came from a laboratory. The US authority had previously stated for years that it could not say whether the Coronavirus was of a laboratory incident or natural origin.
The answer to the question of the origin of the virus is considered highly political. In recent years, hundreds of million people have become ill worldwide and millions have died. The pandemic also led to a dramatic economic slump worldwide and to social tensions.
