Trump signs decrees in the fight against “Woke” Unis
Left-liberal universities are US President Trump a thorn in the side. Now he has signed two new decrees to force the universities to impose his will.
The US government continues its struggle against the left-liberal universities in their view with several decrees for their financing. President Donald Trump signed a decree that targets foreign donations for universities. There is suspicion that universities like Harvard violated laws to disclose foreign donations, an employee of Trump said when the decrees were presented.
The new decree should ensure that universities disclose all foreign funds that flow into their facilities to protect “national and security interests”. The “market of ideas” should be protected from propaganda financed by abroad.
Another decree serves to oblige universities to accept students due to their performance and not on the basis of “wokers”, it said. According to the decree, the US government wants to reform the accreditation system for universities so that they concentrate on “offering high-quality academic programs …”
Trump’s government is hard against universities, to which she accuses a left -liberal attitude. Above all, Trump rejects the university programs of the universities that are supposed to counteract a historically related discrimination against black, women and other disadvantaged groups.
