Russia reports conquest of Kursk – Ukraine

What is going on in the Kursk region? Moscow reported the conquest during the day, denied Ukraine and speaks of a “propaganda move”.

The Ukrainian General Staff rejected the reconquest of the Kursk area, which was declared by Russia, as a “propaganda move” by Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin. The fighting continued not only in some parts of the Tersk area, but also in the neighboring Russian area of Belgorod, the general staff in Kiev said on Facebook.

Putin and general staff Waleri Gerassimow had previously stated that the Kursk region was completely free from the Ukrainian armed forces.

Ukraine: Russia spreads “wishful thinking”

Russia spreads “wishful thinking”, it said in the announcement of military leadership in Kyiv. Several attacks were warded off from the Russian side. At the same time, the general staff admitted that the situation was complicated. “The operational situation is difficult, but our units continue to withstand certain positions and carry out the tasks assigned to them, adding the enemy an effective fire defeat with all types of weapons and, among other things, applying active defense tactics,” the statement said.

In contrast, the Russian Ministry of Defense renewed his presentation in the afternoon that the last Ukrainian troops had been pushed back to the neighboring territory.

The information from the two warring parties cannot be checked by an independent side. The Ukrainian troops came up with the Kursk area at the beginning of August – as part of the defense fight against the Russian war of attack.
