Bahr “designed the office of regional bishop in the discourse between church, politics, science and culture in a special way and thus gave important impulses,” said Bishop Ralf Meister, according to a message. He also emphasized her “cleverness and ingenious analytical view”.

Previous stations of Bahr included the political department of the CDU-close Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung EV, which she headed, and the Council of the Evangelical Church in Germany, in which she worked as a cultural officer.
