Felix Neureuther’s mother won gold in Innsbruck in 1976 in downhill and slalom, as well as silver in giant slalom. In the same year she triumphed in the overall World Cup and then ended her active career. In 1980 she married her longtime friend and advisor Christian Neureuther.
