Tomas Oral returns to the coaching bench and takes over the second division football club SV Sandhausen, which is in danger of being relegated.

Those responsible at the bottom of the table presented the 49-year-old as the successor to Alois Schwartz, who had been released the day before after the 0-3 home defeat against Karlsruher SC.

President convinced

“Tomas Oral was able to convince us of his game idea in a short time. That’s why we’re sure we’ve found the right coach in him to initiate the turnaround quickly and thus ensure relegation,” said President Jürgen Machmeier.

Oral worked for FC Ingolstadt until June 2021. Before that, he coached KSC and FSV Frankfurt, among others. There he met Sandhausen’s sporting director, Mikayil Kabaca. Oral was already considered a promising candidate at SVS in previous trainer searches.

With his new club, Oral meets 1. FC Nuremberg in the first game on Saturday (1 p.m. / Sky). The Franconians also presented a new coach to the previous sports director Dieter Hecking on Monday.
